This series of works were inspired by traditional Japanese Haiku poems that follow a three-line, seventeen-syllable format, often focusing on a single moment in time. The collages explore the possibilities of using just three elements to create arrangements of materials, colour and texture which have a sculptural and spatial quality that resonate when brought together.
